Designed to capture the summer breezes and winter sun, this house is protected from the prevailing south-east weather and takes full advantage of the stunning Maleny location with 360 degree rural views. A striking ten metre long New Guinea Rosewood stacking door graces the living area and opens to a stunning layout. The honed granite island bench is the focal point of the spacious open plan kitchen and dining area.
The use of a stunning array of timbers throughout including a New Guinea rosewood fix-out and Sydney blue gum floors merged with matrix and chamfer board claddings, give this house a warm, contemporary feel. A luxurious master bedroom, which opens onto the expansive iron bark deck, is connected to the ensuite through a timber Shoji door. The west wing features a cosy winter sunroom which connects the guests' quarters to the central living area. A full length bi-fold glass wall at the end of the deck brings the outdoors in and is fully functional in all weather conditions.
